Long-Exposure Photography

Long-exposure photography in color and black and white by fine art photographer Andrew Prokos. This genre of photography utilizes long exposure times, typically two to eight minutes, to capture the scene over a prolonged period of time, and during low-light conditions at dusk or at night. Long-exposure photography is characterized by the blurring of motion, such as masses of people passing through a particular location. The long exposure time also renders flowing water and clouds with a soft, ethereal look which lends a somewhat surreal aspect to the photo.

Long-Exposure Photography Prints

Andrew’s long-exposure photography prints are renowned for their clarity, tonality, and detail. We use archival printing and framing materials to ensure that the long-exposure photographs you purchase will stand the test of time. Each large-scale print is mounted on a rigid dibond substrate and face-mounted with 3/16″ ultra-clear acrylic. This method of mounting ensures that your framed long-exposure photography print will stay rigid over time. The clear face-mounted acrylic accentuates the detail and sharpness inherent in each of the large-format images Andrew captures, while also protecting your print from the elements.

Long-Exposure Photography Gallery

Andrew’s long-exposure photography is displayed in prominent homes and corporate spaces around the world. His limited edition long-exposure prints are signed and numbered, and each is sold with a Certificate of Authenticity which states the date of creation, edition number, and other relevant information about the artwork.
